Umar Adams

Assalāmu ʿalaykum wa raḥmatullāhi wa barakātuh.

My name is Umar Adams. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Islamic Law (Sharīʿah) from the Islamic University of Madinah, along with a diploma in the Arabic language. These studies have equipped me to teach directly from authentic Arabic sources while making them accessible and engaging for English-speaking students.

I have had the privilege of teaching Islamic sciences in both online and classroom settings. I taught online at Al Itqan Online Madrasah (UK), and I taught in person at Ruhama Foundation, where I taught primary and high school students. I currently teach Islamic sciences to adults at Al Furqan and I conduct fiqh classes at two mosques in Cape Town once a week in each mosque.

My teaching aims to provide students with a sound understanding of Islam based on the Qur'an and the authentic Sunnah. I strive to cultivate a positive learning environment that encourages sincerity, good character, and a lifelong love for seeking beneficial knowledge.

I look forward to partnering with parents in nurturing their children's Islamic education and helping them grow in knowledge, worship, and character, bi'idhnillāh.
