Marwa Baroud

Aslm! I’m Marwa, a Palestinian dentist and native Arabic speaker from Gaza. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Dentistry from Palestine University, where I studied entirely in English.

I teach Arabic in a simple, structured, and enjoyable way, especially for beginners who want to build confidence in speaking and understanding Arabic. My lessons focus on Modern Standard Arabic (Fus’ha), with an emphasis on everyday conversation, pronunciation, useful vocabulary, and practical communication. I also introduce my students to Palestinian Arabic from time to time, so they can understand the differences between Fus’ha and everyday Palestinian speech.

I prepare a worksheet for each lesson and share it with my students beforehand, including Arabic, English meaning, and English-letter pronunciation to make learning easier for beginners. During the lesson, we practise new words and phrases together, create realistic conversations and role-plays, and focus on helping students speak confidently rather than simply memorising words. I also give students simple homework, such as voice recordings, to help them practise between lessons.

For students who already have some Arabic knowledge, I first assess their level and then build on what they already know so that our lessons are suitable for their needs and progress. I teach both online and in-person, and I would also love to work with children, as I genuinely enjoy teaching and interacting with them.
